The Iroquois Steeplechase Shares “What to Know”

Tickets still available and live stream of races announced

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –The Iroquois Steeplechase, sponsored by Bank of America and benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, will make its 81st annual return to Percy Warner Park on May 14. As Nashville’s rite of spring since 1941, race day will be full of annual traditions and new attractions, such as Royal 615 Lounge, auction experiences, free to play contests and much more.

Those wishing to attend this year’s race have a wide variety of ticket options to choose from, starting with this year’s newest attraction, Royal 615 Lounge presented by Conrad Nashville and Nashville Lifestyles. This centerfield party tent will feature DJ entertainment, craft cocktails and food trucks. While VIP tickets are sold out for the Lounge, patron tickets are available for online purchase through the Iroquois Steeplechase website. Other grounds tickets are still available including Hunt Club, tailgating tickets and Individual tickets.

Iroquois Steeplechase Chairman Dwight Hall said, “This year promises to celebrate our grand traditions everyone enjoys while launching new and exciting hospitality experiences on the grounds. We’ve also attracted many top rated and impressive horses for one of the nation’s top steeplechasing events.”

Tailgating spots are a crowd favorite with food truck options, drink access to Taverns on the Turf and prime time viewing of the six races throughout the day. Steeplechase Central food trucks include Brown’s Diner, Chick-fil-A, Hogwood BBQ, Loveless Café, Sweet T’s Ice cream and The Huli Hut. Family area food trucks include East Tasty Candy Company, Fye Dog’s, Moosic City Ice Cream & Waffles, Nashville Cotton Candy Co. and Retro Sno.

When it comes to what to bring and what to leave at home, attendees are required to present their ticket and armband and parking pass upon entering the race. Sunscreen is recommended, along with hats and comfortable shoes. Glass containers, pets, propane grills, buses, limos and firearms are prohibited from the race grounds.

For enthusiasts unable to attend the race in person, the National Steeplechase Association will have the races on live stream online at www.nationalsteeplechase.com.
