Giving Back: $110,000 Donation to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital and Volunteer Opportunities to Make a Difference

The Iroquois Steeplechase has a long-standing tradition of giving back to our community, and this year, we are proud to announce a $110,000 donation to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This contribution brings our total donations to over $11 million since our partnership began. Supporting the hospital aligns with our mission of enriching lives and making a meaningful impact in our community.

Why Your Support Matters

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital is a beacon of hope for children and their families, providing world-class care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Donations like yours fuel lifesaving research, enhance patient care, and fund programs that bring comfort and joy to young patients facing difficult journeys.

For many families, this hospital is a lifeline, offering not just medical care but also emotional and practical support during some of life’s most challenging moments. By donating to or volunteering with the Children’s Hospital, you are directly contributing to a brighter, healthier future for children in our community.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to financial contributions, there are other impactful ways to support the hospital’s mission. Volunteering not only brings joy to patients and their families but also creates meaningful experiences for corporate groups and individuals. Here are two opportunities to get involved this holiday season:

1. Maker’s Fair at River of Hope Radiothon

  • Where: Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital

  • What: Volunteers are needed to host a Maker’s Fair booth during the hospital’s River of Hope Radiothon. Corporate groups are encouraged to participate, providing both volunteers and materials for their entire shift. A Legacy of Hope and Healing

The $110,000 we donated this year represents more than just a financial gift—it symbolizes a community united in hope, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves access to excellent care. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, attendees, and volunteers who make this possible year after year.

Together, let’s continue to champion the hospital’s incredible work, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Thank you for being part of this journey to support children and families when they need it most.
